Coma Unplugged recounts the mental meanderings of a humour columnist in a coma, following an apparent accident. There, in a series of non-linear sketches, he encounters people from his life and one – a bewildered African warrior – who’s a figment of his imagination. Between reality and dream, the man he was and the man he wants to be, Daniel takes stock of his life and reinvents it.
The phantasmagorical scenario is buttressed by solid dialogue probing our society’s cynicism, disenchantment and desire to laugh at all costs. The elocution is crystal clear local vernacular and can be grasped by those from whom French is not their first language
