Artistic and Managing Director
For the past 21 years, Craig has worked as director, playwright, actor and designer. Some of his favourite directing credits include Cendres de cailloux by Daniel Danis, Mathieu Mathématiques by Michael Gauthier, La vue d’en haut by James Long, Porc-épic by David Paquet (all for Théâtre la Seizième) as well as The Madonna Painter by Michel Marc Bouchard (Theatre at UBC) and For The Pleasure of Seeing her Again by Michel Tremblay (Festival Players). He is the recipient of several awards, including the John Moffat & Larry Lillo Award (2012), the Sydney J. Risk Award for an emerging director(1998) and 2 Jessie Richardson Award for outstanding Artistic Creation for directing Mathieu Mathématiques (2004) and Outstanding Direction Porc-épic (2013). Since 2001, Craig has been Artistic and Managing Director of Théâtre la Seizième and from 2006 to 2010, he was the president of ATFC (Association des Théâtres Francophones du Canada), the national association of French theatre companies outside of Quebec. He has also taught extensively at UBC in the theatre and opera programs, the University of Ottawa and the Vancouver Academy of Music. Craig is a graduate of UBC and the University of Ottawa.

Communications and Administration Director / Associate Artistic and Managing Director
Esther Duquette is a graduate of the University of Quebec at Montreal in communication with a specialization in arts. During her studies, she has collaborated with numerous media and artistic organizations such as the Opera de Montréal and the Montréal Campus Newspaper. She also held, from 2002 to 2007, various functions within the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys. In 2007, she joined the team of Développement économique Saint-Laurent where she worked to promote one of the largest industrial parks in Canada. She led the communications service there before joining Théâtre la Seizième as Communication and Administration Director in 2010.

Programming Agent
Graduate of the European Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual of Nancy, Claire completed her diploma at the University of Montreal. Enthusiastic about Canada, she decided to immigrate to Vancouver in 2011. She worked as the Customer Services Manager for Le Centre Culturel Francophone before packing her bags and her faithful toy owl for Théâtre la Seizième where she has worked as a Programming Agent since September 2013.Claire’s varied and eclectic interests have seen her be a finalist for the National Philosophy Student Contest in 2006, found the French troupe Daniel Jackson Théâtre from 2006 to 2008 where she was an active member, write for the documentary J’imagine in 2009, usher for the art-house cinema Le Caméo from 2010 to 2011 and win the Digital Photography Marathon in 2011. Spectator, reader and cinephile, she also enjoys outdoors since moving to Vancouver. As we are speaking, she is probably on her way to the beach.

Technical Director
Jeremy has worked in a variety of jobs throughout Vancouver’s entertainment industry since 1996. He is currently the Technical Director for Theatre La Seizième, Vancouver International Children’s Festival, Vancouver Folk Music Festival, and the PuSh Festival. Before that he was the Technical Director at the Roundhouse for five years. He also enjoys working in lighting design and has done a variety of design work in the community. He has been the Lighting Designer for the UBC Opera Ensemble for the last 15 seasons and for several other local projects and productions. He is a BFA graduate from UBC’s “Theatre Design and Technology” program. Jeremy is also a cofounder and an artistic staff member of Some Assembly Arts Society which produces youth theatre projects.
