It is important for us to stay on the cutting of edge of what is happening on the arts scene in Vancouver. We read a great deal, we see a lot of productions and now, we want to share our favorites. Every two weeks, we will suggest a cultural outing for you. You liked it? Hated it? Tweet us what you think or leave us a note on our Facebook page.
This week we adventure back on to the contemporary dance scene with Corps de Walk by Norway’s national contemporary dance company, Carte Blanche as part of Dance House’s season at the Vancouver Playhouse. Choreographed by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar, Corps de Walk goes beyond the usual synchronicity possible in dance and takes it to a new level of precision. Supported by a spectacular rhythmic soundscape and intense light design as well as a gender neutral corps de danse, Corps de Walk’s hypnotic movement will be, as one reviewer put it, fifty-five minutes of candy for your senses.
