The Far Side of the Moon

Philippe is faced with the recent death of his mother, the derailing of his university career and increasing difficulty with his younger brother André. As he searches desperately for meaning in the universe, and for his place in it, he receives the mysterious teachings reserved for those who look with curiosity upon the stars. An atmospheric soundscape by Laurie Anderson propulsed by the theatrical alchemy of Robert Lepage, La face cachée de la lune (The Far Side of the Moon) is a gravity-defying dive into childhood memories and the Space Race. Alone onstage, actor Yves Jacques interprets every role in this epic story, a tour de force performance for which he won the Best Actor prize at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde as well as the Best Actor prize given by the subscribers of Théâtre du Trident.
