Over the course of the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons, Drew Facey designed the sets and the costumes for three productions, À toi, pour toujours ta Marie-Lou by Michel Tremblay, Deux ans de votre vie by Rébecca Déraspe and Mathieu Mathématiques by Mike Gauthier. Two of these designs won Jessie Richardson Awards.

The jury, made up of one member of the Board of Directors and one subscriber, were impressed by the remarkable quality of his work. « The three designs by Drew are exceptional based on their diversity and their beauty. They intelligently support the other elements of the productions, ingeniously transporting us from one world to another. We are very proud to award this prize to him » said the jury president, Danielle Arcand.

About the Danielle Arcand Award
The Danielle Arcand Award gives homage to one of our greatest volunteers. On top of a busy career at the Conseil scolaire francophone and the Bureau des affaires francophones et francophiles of Simon Fraser University, Danielle Arcand was the President of Théâtre la Seizième for more than 15 years, as well as being on the boards of the Conseil culturel et artistique de la Colombie-Britannique and Français pour l’avenir.  Danielle Arcand’s main priorities are teaching and the support of learning. To support this cause, the Danielle Arcand prize is awarded every two years to an artist, 35 years or younger, who has distinguished themselves on a production of Théâtre la Seizième highlighting their potential and their talent.
